Finnish fellings of softwood sawlogs down 5% in March

Sawlogs
According to Luke 2.22 million m³ of softwood sawlogs were felled in Finland in March (-5% compared to 2023). Fellings of pine sawlogs decreased by 4% and fellings of spruce sawlogs decreased by 5%. A total of 6.66 million m³ of softwood sawlogs were felled during January-March (-1%). Fellings of pine sawlogs increased by 2% and fellings of spruce sawlogs decreased by 4%.
This chart shows seasonally adjusted trend lines for fellings of pine and spruce sawlogs per month during a longer period of time. The trend line for spruce sawlogs is increasing. The trend line for pine sawlogs levels off.
Pulpwood
