Swedish and Finnish pine lumber export to North Africa up 23% in February

Sweden and Finland exported approximately 550,000 m³ of pine lumber to North Africa during January-February (+18% compared to 2024), according to figures from SCB and the Finnish Customs. The export to main European markets during the same period was approximately 395,000 m³ (+22%). The trend lines for the export of pine lumber to North Africa and main European markets from Sweden and Finland are increasing.
Spruce
Sweden and Finland exported approximately 993,000 m³ of spruce lumber to main European markets during January-February (+3% compared to 2024). The export to North Africa was 74,000 m³ during the same period (+17%). The trend lines for the export of spruce lumber from Sweden and Finland to Europe and North Africa are increasing.
